Not a book, but quotes from William Shakespeare

What book could you read over and over again?

When I was a teen and a student, I loved to read Shakespeare’s quotations from his plays. He was my inspiration and motivation. Those words help us to reduce stress and hopeless conditions, give us more strength to go through the situations and teach us how to survive. I read his quotes again and again whenever I need to improve.

I would like to share some best quotes here:

“To be, or not to be: that is the question.” – Hamlet

“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” – As You Like It.

“To thine own self be true.” – Hamlet

“All that glitters is not gold.” – The Merchant of Venice

“Parting is such sweet sorrow.” – Romeo and Juliet

“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” – Romeo and Juliet

“The course of true love never did run smooth.” – A Midsummer Night’s Dream

“Brevity is the soul of wit.” – Hamlet

“Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.” – A Midsummer Night’s Dream

The words are too short with deep meanings inside. So I read William Shakespeare. A man of spirit.

The words are so familiar they have become part of our every-day vocabulary. Great post. And to think I didn’t like Shakespeare in high school. Things change!
