In today’s world, technology is everywhere. But while it brings many conveniences, it also raises concerns about its impact on our mental health. I decided to talk to four different people in my life—a friend, my mother, a blogger, and the mailman—to get their thoughts on this important issue.
1. Asma- My Friend
Q: How do you think technology is affecting our mental health?
Asma: Technology is a blessing, but it’s also overwhelming. Social media, in particular, makes it hard not to compare yourself to others. I often feel pressured to live up to what I see online, and that can lead to anxiety and depression.
Q: What do you do to manage these feelings?
Asma: I try to take breaks from social media and focus on activities that make me happy in real life, like exercising or spending time with friends.
2. Mom,

3. Zaveyar – Lifestyle Blogger
Q: How do you think blogging and social media influence mental health?
Zaveyar: As a blogger, I’m always online, and it can be exhausting. The pressure to create content and stay relevant is real. I’ve seen many people, including myself, struggle with the anxiety that comes from this constant need to be “on.”

Zaveyar: I set strict boundaries for my online time. I also try to keep my content authentic, which helps me stay grounded and reduces the stress of trying to be perfect.
4. Noor, The Mailman
Q: How do you see technology affecting people’s lives from your perspective?
Noor: I see it every day—people are more connected to their phones than to each other. Even when I deliver mail, most people don’t look up from their screens to say hello. It’s like we’re losing that human connection, and that can be really depressing.
Q: Do you think there’s a way to balance technology with real-life interactions?
Noor: Definitely. We need to put our phones down and make an effort to connect with each other. A simple “good morning” or a smile can go a long way in making someone’s day better.
